Luba Arnold Larnie is contemporary landscape painter based in the United Kingdom.

Originally from Perm in the Urals, hold a formal degree in History and Art History. This deep academic understanding of visual culture and historical context heavily informs her approach to composition, light and narrative within landscape painting.

Before dedicating themselves fully to studio practice, Luba brought her creative vision to life through extensive work in both professional theatre and education.

In 2000, Luba located to the UK after living in Cyprus for a number of years. The diverse British landscape and coastal light sparked a profound evolution in her work.

Working across oil, acrylic and charcoal, Luba focuses on the tactile qualities of the medium. She utilises palette knife marks and rich structural layering to give her work a distinctive physical presence. Her paintings beautifully mirror the ever changing interplay of land, sea and sky during the dawn and twilight hours.

Luba has exhibited at several highly regarded galleries, including at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) and the prestigious Penwith Gallery, St. Ives, Cornwall.

Her paintings are hanging on walls in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and USA as well as the UK.
